I made a tailors ham recently, it was quick, used up some scraps and I felt so accomplished having finished it in an hour or two (including the stuffing of sawdust!). Plus, it's super useful :) Yay for fast projects :)Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16384277110904485746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4738605186344332113.post-46206536216475092962013-05-29T21:47:41.679+01:002013-05-29T21:47:41.679+01:00Hi Helen! Maybe it would depend on the type of jersey though? this is quite a thick jersey but maybe a finer jersey would cling to tights more.Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05183395919767332073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4738605186344332113.post-30917540680982259022013-05-29T20:58:24.799+01:002013-05-29T20:58:24.799+01:00Both of these look great! Yes, I'm about to attempt to draft a jersey maxi dress from a woven tank pattern (the Grainline) so it was nice to have an easy wee project before starting that.Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05183395919767332073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4738605186344332113.post-5781765985722609552013-05-29T14:13:12.439+01:002013-05-29T14:13:12.439+01:00Great job on both the skirt and the cardigan! So far I've made one pair of earrings but still got loads of beads left! Like Gillian says though, the supplies are surprisingly costly, I'll need to buy more necklace closures as well as a beading needle as the holes in the beads are tiny. A project for next month I think!Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05183395919767332073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4738605186344332113.post-21001626317068789512013-05-29T13:28:18.657+01:002013-05-29T13:28:18.657+01:00Yes, it was trickier than I thought it would be! I hadn't considered how I could keep the patches in place whilst stitching them but I was lucky the leather was quite soft so I managed to get a few pins through it without leaving holes. Sewing the leather on was also pretty hard on the hands, especially as I couldn't find my thimble!Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05183395919767332073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4738605186344332113.post-17216717106252875402013-05-29T12:31:24.862+01:002013-05-29T12:31:24.862+01:00I know what you mean, I finished a whole stack of ...I know what you mean, I finished a whole stack of unfinished or "needed fixing" items and afterwards I felt like a great load had been lifted off me.

I love both of these and I think I read somewhere that elbow patches are very "in" at the moment so go you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4738605186344332113.post-14288413141482408642013-05-29T12:18:14.663+01:002013-05-29T12:18:14.663+01:00Yay to some quick sewing fixes.
